In A Small Favor, you play as the newest employee of POP UP! Bakery, a brand new bakery opening in the local mall. Meet other mall employees while you're handing out flyers and help them deal with their own problems by playing store-themed Match 3 puzzles. If you help them out, maybe they'll come visit on opening day!

This game was created in one weekend for Wholesome Games Jam 2022! Our first build features 3 NPCs and 3 levels, with the idea that a longer game would feature several different stores, more characters, and increasingly complex puzzles. We're @hexcode_games on Twitter for updates.

As others have pointed out, there is an issue with the webgame resolution; a quick fix is to enable a fullscreen mode button in the itch.io page settings. More importantly the resolution of the window needs to match your game’s resolution, because it doesn’t seem like the game is responsive to dynamic resolution changes, so it gets cut off to the point where its unplayable - this will probably need some more tweaking in your Unity project settings itself. I had to edit the HTML source to make it 1920x1080 to play the game.

The art is very impressive! It’s a very cute and relaxing game and I’m pleased to see that there are unique characters to talk to. I had the same problem as Doot, couldn’t click the top-left one, and sometimes the swapping is bugged out and I couldn’t swap certain tiles. Overall, it’s a fun game with an interesting setting and dialogue. To do all this in only 48 hours deserves high praise. Excellent work!

It looked really good but I couldn't get to play it well because the WebGL version didn't have a fullscreen version so it it didn't show the entire game.

Super cute game!

The art is really really good and quite impressive for a jam. The UI is clean and works well. The rhythm between dialogues and cute gameplay phases is well done. The writing is nice and the sound design works well.

The match 3 gameplay is fine, I would have loved a better indication on what I was selecting. Also, I couldn't seem to click on the top left one?

Thanks for the game and really great job 💕

Oh and also I loved that you made a button to skip the mini games, this is very caring and welcome.

Quite good but please put a fullscreen mode.
